2027: Nasarawa gov begins consultations ahead of APC senatorial primary
Ahead of the senatorial primary elections of the All Progressives Congress slated for later this month, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has commenced grassroots consultations to secure the party’s ticket for Nasarawa North Senatorial District. It would be recalled that a former deputy governor of the state and immediate past director-general of the National Directorate of Employment, Silas Agara, had recently obtained his expression of interest and nomination forms to also contest for the senatorial seat to represent the zone at the National Assembly.

A. Sule for Senate, Timothy Anjide, expressed optimism that the governor will clinch the party ticket and be elected as senator in 2027.

He promised stakeholders of the Eggon nation more infrastructural development as part of Governor Sule’s renewed commitment to delivering good governance, if they give their full support to his bid to emerge victorious at the primaries and the 2027 senatorial election. Anjide, a former Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, assured that Sule would soon begin reconstruction of the Mada Station road, which is currently in a bad shape, urging continued support for the administration. He indicated, “The A.

“Governor Sule having answered the clarion call for senate is committed to delivering basic amenities to the area as part of government’s move to spread development across the state. ” reports that the delegation, led by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Senator Philip Gyunka, met with the Aren Eggon, Justice Ahmed Alaku (rtd), in his palace in Nasarawa Eggon to seek royal blessings, present the council’s agenda, and solicit the support of the traditional institution for peaceful and issue-based campaigns.

The decision to begin with the monarch was deliberate, noting that the throne remains the custodian of the people’s culture, unity, and values. “We are here to pay homage, to inform your royal highness of our plans, and to seek your fatherly blessings as we embark on this journey to present Governor Abdullahi Sule’s record of service to the people of Nasarawa North,” he showed.
