Eid-el-Fitr: Abiodun, Mutfwang, Fayemi Felicitate Muslims, Urge Peace, Unity
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, and former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, have extended Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful, urging peace, unity, and continued adherence to the values of Ramadan.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta, Abiodun described Ramadan as a sacred period marked by reflection, devotion, self-discipline, and service to humanity. He commended Muslims for their steadfastness during the fasting period, noting that the season encouraged charity, compassion, and support for the less privileged.

The governor appreciated the Muslim community for their prayers for peace, progress, and good governance in Ogun State and Nigeria, stressing that such spiritual support promotes unity and democratic growth. He urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of patience, generosity, humility, and righteousness beyond Ramadan.

Similarly, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the fasting period, encouraging them to uphold values of love, charity, tolerance, and unity.

He described Eid-el-Fitr as a reminder of sacrifice and submission to God, urging citizens to work together towards building a peaceful and prosperous society. Mutfwang also called on Muslims to continue praying for leaders and national development.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusivity, security, and improved welfare, while urging all residents to promote peaceful coexistence and respect for the rule of law.

Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi also congratulated Muslims, describing Eid-el-Fitr as a time to reinforce compassion, humility, sacrifice, and love for humanity.

He urged Nigerians to embrace unity and mutual respect across religious and ethnic lines, especially at a time when national cohesion is critical.

Fayemi further called on citizens to shun violence, division, and intolerance, stressing that national progress depends on collective harmony and shared responsibility.

He encouraged Muslims to continue acts of charity and kindness beyond the festive period, particularly towards the less privileged, and prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria.
