Five Terrorists Jailed, FG Expedites 500 Suspects’ Trials

In a major breakthrough for Nigeria's judicial and security sectors, the Federal Government on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, announced the successful conviction and sentencing of five high-profile terrorists. This development comes as the Ministry of Justice moves to expedite the trials of approximately 500 other suspects currently in detention across various correctional facilities.

"We are sending a clear signal that justice will be swift and certain," a spokesperson for the Ministry stated.
