Nigeria Will Still Experience Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Best, Says Gbenga Daniel
Former Ogun State Governor and Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has said Nigeria is yet to see the best of President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as a pragmatic leader and a strong source of inspiration in governance.

Daniel made the remark in Abuja during the public presentation of four books held to mark his 70th birthday. The event took place at the Yar’Adua Centre and attracted top political figures, including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Daniel said several governance initiatives implemented during his tenure as governor of Ogun State were influenced by ideas associated with Tinubu’s leadership style. He praised the President’s practical approach to governance and his depth of political thinking.

President Tinubu, who was represented at the event by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, also commended Daniel for his contributions to governance, business and national development. He praised the former governor’s achievements in public service and enterprise.

Beyond the tributes, Daniel also spoke on wider national issues, including misinformation, corruption, ethics in public service and the debate around state policing, while calling for stronger values, accountability and institutional reforms.
