Renowned Nigerian producer Wale Adenuga has dismissed reports suggesting that his iconic comedy franchise, Papa Ajasco & Company, is broke.
Reacting to recent claims circulating in the media, Adenuga described the narrative as misleading and inaccurate, stressing that the brand is still very much active and continues to engage audiences across multiple platforms.
He clarified that while the structure of television and entertainment distribution has evolved over time, the “Papa Ajasco” brand has adapted to these changes rather than declined.
The veteran filmmaker pointed out that the show has continued to air and reach audiences through both traditional television and digital platforms, including reruns and online streaming.
