The Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, has reaffirmed that promoting Islamic affairs remains one of the core priorities of his administration.
The governor stated that his government is committed to strengthening religious institutions and supporting Islamic activities across the state as part of its broader development agenda.
According to him, the promotion of Islamic values and education is central to building a morally grounded society and fostering peaceful coexistence among residents.
He noted that his administration has continued to invest in initiatives that support Islamic propagation, including the development of Islamiyya schools and the rehabilitation of existing religious institutions.
The governor also highlighted efforts to support clerics and religious leaders, including financial assistance and programmes aimed at enhancing religious education and community engagement.
