The Ondo State Government has called on traditional rulers across the state to remain vigilant and closely monitor activities within their domains, urging them to promptly report any suspicious movements or gatherings to relevant security agencies.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, disclosed that preliminary investigations indicated some of the recent attacks were allegedly orchestrated by local collaborators attempting to portray the state as unsafe.
According to the government, such actions are aimed at creating fear and undermining public confidence, warning that those found culpable would face the full weight of the law.
The state government has therefore directed all security agencies to intensify surveillance operations and immediately clamp down on individuals or groups involved in what it described as nefarious activities.
Residents were also advised not to remain silent in the face of suspicious developments but to cooperate fully with security operatives by providing timely and credible information.
