The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC, has invited applications from suitably qualified students of Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas for its 2024/2025 bursary and scholarship scheme. The commission said the scheme is open to students currently pursuing different educational programmes in tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to OSOPADEC, eligible applicants must be indigenes of Ilaje and or Ese-Odo Local Government Areas and must be full-time students of accredited public or private tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The commission also stated that both undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Nigerian Law School students, are eligible, provided their studentship is duly affirmed by their institutions.
The commission, however, said part-time, sandwich, pre-degree, NTI, diploma students, and students of unaccredited institutions are not eligible for the award.
OSOPADEC listed the required documents for online registration as a recent passport photograph, certificate of local government of origin, JAMB admission letter, school fees receipt for the 2024/2025 academic session, and a valid student identity card. It also said applicants must print out their registration slip after submission, get it duly signed and stamped by the Dean of Student Affairs or Head of Department, and upload the endorsed slip to complete the process.
The commission further warned that no change of bank details will be permitted after submission of the application. It said the application portal would be accessible through the OSOPADEC website from Tuesday, April 28, 2026, to Monday, May 18, 2026.
The call for applications comes days after OSOPADEC formally flagged off the 2024/2025 bursary and scholarship exercise and restated that the process would be digital, transparent and merit-based.
