Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has officially inaugurated a newly constructed banquet hall in Kaduna, describing the project as a strong reflection of purposeful leadership and institutional development.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Shettima emphasized the strategic importance of Kaduna in Nigeria’s political and economic landscape, noting that the Federal Government remains committed to supporting the state through impactful projects and policies.
He highlighted that the state continues to play a crucial role in national development, adding that sustained federal presence is necessary to strengthen its position and address key challenges.
The Vice President commended Governor Uba Sani for combining infrastructure development with efforts to improve governance systems.
According to him, such an approach is essential for achieving long-term growth, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
He further noted that the newly completed facility would serve as a hub for high-level meetings, policy discussions, and ceremonial events, helping to bridge infrastructure gaps that often hinder effective governance.
Shettima expressed confidence that the banquet hall would elevate Kaduna’s status as a destination for regional and international gatherings, including conferences, exhibitions, and cultural events capable of stimulating economic activities.
In his remarks, Governor Sani described the project as more than just a physical structure, explaining that it was designed to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance public engagement. He stated that the facility would host diplomatic functions, global conferences, and strategic dialogues aimed at fostering partnerships and development.
