President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, have returned to Nigeria following a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom.
The presidential couple is expected to spend the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in Lagos before returning to Abuja to resume official duties at the Presidential Villa.
The visit to the United Kingdom featured high-level engagements aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and the UK, including meetings with top government officials and members of the royal family.
Officials say the trip forms part of ongoing efforts by the administration to deepen international partnerships and attract investment into the country.
The planned stay in Lagos for the Eid celebration reflects a continuation of the president’s engagement with citizens during major religious festivities, while also observing the significance of the occasion with the Muslim faithful.
Following the celebrations, President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja to continue governance activities and policy implementation at the federal level.
