Gunmen have abducted six worshippers from a Celestial Church along the Uso/Owo Expressway in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, the attack happened in the early hours of February 25, around 12:50 a.m. The victims were taken to an unknown location.
Security agencies, including the police, Nigerian Army, and local vigilante groups, launched a joint rescue operation. One of the abducted worshippers has already been rescued, while one suspected informant connected to the incident has been arrested.
Authorities say rescue efforts are still ongoing, and residents have been urged to remain calm and provide useful information to security operatives.
