Tinubu Felicitates FRCN On 75th Anniversary, Urges Continued Service
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the management and staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria on its 75th anniversary. In a statement released on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended his warm greetings to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, the FRCN leadership, and sister agencies within the ministry.

Describing the FRCN as a "dynamic, vibrant, and central" institution, President Tinubu highlighted its status as Africa’s largest broadcast network, boasting 47 FM stations and six zonal stations. He noted that for over seven decades, the corporation has played a pivotal role in enhancing development communication between the government and its citizens, serving as a trusted medium for information, education, and entertainment.

The President further recognized the FRCN’s role as a custodian of Nigeria’s history, capturing the nation’s journey from colonial times through post-colonial transitions. He commended the corporation for maintaining an archive that remains a vital reference for scholars and leaders alike. Urging the staff to remain dedicated to their mandate, he encouraged the station to continue "Uplifting the People and Uniting the Nation," in line with its long-standing slogan.
